Smith’s specially formulated Honing Solution is non-petroleum based and features built-in stone cleaning agents and rust/corrosion inhibitors. It is excellent for lubricating your Arkansas or Diamond Stone when sharpening. Never use an Arkansas Stone without some kind of lubricant, or you will clog the pores and cause it not to sharpen properly. Diamond Stones can be used dry, but we recommend that you use a lubricant for better performance. _____________________

Handmade by ourselves Wood backing with leather charged with polishing rouge. Stropping your newly sharpened knife is necessary to remove the burr created during sharpening. No knife can be sharpened correctly without being stropped afterwards. 200 mm long stropping area, 315 mm overall. Being handmade, these may vary slightly.

Museum Wax

Price: R10 for 10ml, R25 for 25ml and R40 for 50ml

Handmade by ourselves. This microcrystalline wax cleans, penetrates, nourishes and protects wood, leather, damascus and carbon steels, bone, stone, ivory, horn, silver, brass and copper. Preferably lightly warm item to be waxed with a hairdryer to aid penetration of wax, (do not heat ivory). Apply wax sparingly. Rub up with a soft cloth when dry.
